The second International Conference on Cognitive Science was held from December 10-12, 2006 at Allahabad. The conference consisted of symposia by invited speakers from India and abroad in addition to thematic oral sessions and poster sessions.

The key note lectures were delivered by:

Bruce Overmier (President of International Association of Psychological Science), James Georgas (President of International Association of Cross Cultural Psychology), and Ira Noveck, (Head, Language and Cognition Group, CNRS, France).

There were oral sessions and symposia on cognitive neuroscience, computational modeling, language and cognition, time perception, mind and consciousness, and attention.

Around 90 participants attended the conference. A total of 34 posters were presented during the conference. All the CBCS students actively participated by presenting their research through posters. An edited volume based on the presentations is currently under preparation.
