General Information - About CBCS

 

Students passing out with a Masters degree in Cognitive Science have been successful in getting placed in Ph.D. program at premier institutions in India and abroad including the likes of Baylor College of Medicine, McMaster University, University of Arizona, University of Georgia, University of Connecticut, University of Cincinnati, University of Birmingham, Brandeis University, University of Guelph, Technical University of Kaiserslautern, etc.

Students have also got placements in the industry in India like Persistent Systems Pvt. Ltd., Pune and Centre for Knowledge Societies, Bangalore as well as Forensic Lab, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

Many students have obtained travel grants to attend international conferences from agencies like IBRO.


Ms. Tanya Dash was awarded IBRO funding to attend the Young Investigator Program (YIP) as part of 8th world Congress on Neuroscience, 2011. She also presented her work at the 8th World Congress on Neuroscience to be held in Florence, Italy from 14-18 July, 2011.

Ms. Shruti Baijal was awarded with IBRO funding to attend the 8th world Congress on Neuroscience, to be held in Florence, Italy from 14-18 July, 2011.

Ms. Niharika Singh was awarded with SERC, DST funding for attending International Conference on Psycholinguistics to be held in Spain.

Ms. Shivangi Jain has been admitted to the doctoral program at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA. Ms. Vatsala Khare has been admitted to the doctoral program at University of Ghent, Belgium. Mr. Gurjyot Singh has been admitted to the doctoral program at University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. Ms. Shreyasi Mishra has been admitted to the doctoral program in Germany. Mr. Amrendra Pratap Singh, Mr. Siddhartha Singh, Mr. Jayprakash have been admitted to the Doctoral Program in CBCS.


Ms. Rashmi Gupta has obtained an IBRO Postdoctoral Fellowship to work at University of Bangor for the year 2010.

 


Ms. Shruti Baijal was awarded an IBRO travel grant to work at Riken Brain Sciences Institute in 2008.
